Monument was commissioned by 3T Energy Group to survey, design and build a training suite showcasing their new virtual reality software to a significant customer in the oil and gas industry.
Solutions on short timescales.
A 10-day deadline while working remotely in Aberdeen meant the project had some unique challenges to overcome.
We quickly identified that pre-manufactured elements would minimise the time spent on site and reduce site-based delays which, when you work remotely, are difficult to resolve and put serious strain on the team and deadline.
Communication and negotiation were key to this project’s success.
Working closely with supply chain partners, we managed to get all pre-manufactured elements swiftly, correctly and into production to hit the deadline and hand over to the 3T Energy team on time.
All works were carried out by businesses within the Created by Monument group, including the fit out and electrical installations by Monument Electrical Engineering. The live operational environment also needed meticulous daily management by Monument to ensure health and safety standards were met, and avoid delays.
The bespoke, state-of-the-art training suite included a separate training room with adjacent drinks station, as curved walls and specialist lighting guided customers on an immersive journey through the pioneering software.
With an imposing deadline and working remotely, 3T Energy Group put a great deal of trust in our ability to deliver. The build was to be a critical factor for the Group in achieving early commercial success with their new software.
